Economic impact and working practices, de-skilling
IT has had a big impact on
the economy as it has increased the amount of ways that people can pay for
things in shops like they can scan their credit/debit card on a machine instead
of having to enter a pin number. Also people are losing jobs because machines
and computers are taking over jobs and machines are becoming smarter than
humans so they will take over the jobs around the world. The jobs that have
been de-skilled are jobs like accountants as now they don’t have to do as much
maths as they can use things like Microsoft Excel and use money counters which
helps them. Also, machines are taking over car manufacturing as well as the
machines are making the cars automatically. Work practices have changed as
people don’t speak to each other to get help as much anymore as they can find
solutions on the internet.
